Dice the tomato and onion. Finely chop the garlic, and cut the sweet potato into small chunks.
Turn on the Saute function on the instant pot. Add in the olive oil, onion, and garlic. Saute until the onion is translucent, about 2 minutes, then add the tomatoes and saute for another 2 minutes.
Add the sweet potato chunks, lentils, tomato paste, turmeric, cumin powder, chilli, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Add the water, lock the lid and turn the steam valve to sealing. Set Instant Pot on high pressure, and then set the timer to 5 minutes. Once cook time is complete, do a quick release.
Stir in the greek yogurt. Top with avocado slices and a dollop of greek yogurt and serve.
